Arup Ghosh is a hands-on leader with expertise in content development, the business of content, broadcast cum media operations, TV channel launches, and content for OTT platforms. In 2010, Arup started N1 Media Consultancy to fill what he saw a much-needed content gap in the broadcast market. This company runs a video news agency tennis sports that specialized in providing sports content to diverse platforms. Arup has worked with top Indian Media brands from print and television including Times of India, Hindustan Times, NDTV, Zee TV, Sahara Media, INX and Doordarshan. Arup has been the Channel Head for Sahara TV, IBN 7 and News X. Arup has enormous experience as a Presenter, Editor and Channel Launcher. He began his Television career with NDTV as a Presenter and Correspondent. He launched a very successful Cricket show called “Silly Point”, which set the tone for many other copycat shows. It had a high powered guest panel including Azharuddin, Waqar Younis, Ajay Jadeja among others and focused more on the sport than on the day’s play. He was also part of a core team that produced a series on Cricket for Doordarshan called “Bat Chat”, anchored by Tony Greig with a panel including Arjuna Ranatunga, Rameez Raja and Sanjay Manjrekar.
